What to do
First and foremost… to relax and soak in the atmosphere!
It is extremely peaceful with locals going to bed early but starting their daily activities at dawn.
The majority of our guests spend 2 nights with us on their way North coming from Bangkok and Ayuthaya and traveling towards Chiang Mai, either with their travel agent or by themselves.
Obviously, the must do is to visit the two Unesco World Heritage Site of Sukhothai and Sri Satchanalai.
Sukhothai is a site of major importance since it was the capital of the first independent Thai kingdom in the 13th century.
Today, you can visit many stunning ruins of old temples and amazing stone buddhas.
Its sister city of Sri Satchanalai is equally nice but much less visited. It was also an important center for ceramic production and Thailand is still known today to produce some of the best celadon in the world.
Please note that we can arrange a car with driver for you to visit those sites at your own pace. Kindly contact us for more details.
There is also a possibility of excursion to the less visited last important city of the region from the same period as Sukhothai and Sri Satchanalai: Kamphaeng Phet Historical Park, west of our location.
We have bikes at your disposal to cycle around the area and observe the local life in the rice fields and in the surrounding villages.
